What you have to realise is the stress caused by players having to drop out on the morning of the tournament. This particular year we had two drop-outs plus another who quit just 5 mins into the first game. After some desperate searching, replacements were found but they weren't perhaps of the same standard as the players they replaced. It all worked out fine in the end as the Chairman carried off his second winners medal. Ring Ring, Ring Ring...
